The Tannery: A Story of Tradition & Progress
We collaborate with experienced tanneries in Indonesia that uphold both craftsmanship and consciousness.
While not yet LWG-certified, our partner tanneries:
- Have decades of experience in the international market, from Europe to the USA.
- Use a blend of traditional and modern tanning techniques — combining hand-finishing, manual dyeing, and careful inspection by artisans.
- Apply both vegetable tanning and chrome tanning, chosen based on the leather’s finish and function, ensuring longevity and environmental care.
- Practice eco-conscious systems — including water recycling and minimal waste production.
- Operate with ethical standards that uphold dignity and safety in every step of production.
By sourcing leather locally, we keep our footprint small, our process transparent, and our connection to craftsmanship strong and close to home.
Leather Type We Use
We work only with genuine full-grain cow leather — the highest quality available, known for its strength, character, and ability to age gracefully.

Soft Nappa
Smooth, elegant, and refined. This leather has a supple touch and timeless appeal — perfect for minimal, sophisticated designs.
Natural Milled

Pull-Up
Rich in oils and waxes, this leather lightens when folded or stretched, creating beautiful variations and a vintage patina with use.
Crazy Horse
A rugged, waxed leather known for its bold character and resilience. It marks easily but wears each scratch proudly — a living map of your adventures.
